In the sixth grade, I began reading stories of ancient Greek mythology and my fascination with them inspired me to start drawing. Now, I attend Seattle Pacific University as an art student with an emphasis in illustration, and I continue to create artistic pieces of the ancient myths that spurred my imagination so many years ago.
Coming from tech-heavy Silicon Valley, I learned to draw using Photoshop and Procreate. I later took classes that involved using watercolor, oil, acrylic, and gouache. My most used mediums are watercolor and Procreate.
Growing up as a lesbian with OCD and anxiety, I felt extremely isolated from my peers due to my differences. When I was bullied and pushed away due to my sexual orientation, I began closely identifying with the harpies of Greek mythology; I write and illustrate narratives where they are misunderstood women, treated as villains solely because they are different.
